Coronavirus Originated From an animal, not a lab

The World Health Organisation made an announcement that the Coronavirus came to people through animals and they started spreading a month before they were noticed in 2019. The health organisation joined the international team and conducted research based on the rumour that the virus was artificially created in a laboratory.

The report gives various other possible sources for the virus and they can be spread via an intermediate animal host, that can be a wild animal captured and then raised on a farm. The investigation has not found what other animal was infected by a bat which is considered the original source of the virus and then may have transmitted it to a human.

The direct transmission from one of the animals known to carry a similar Coronavirus, such as a bat or a pangolin. Possible but not probable is a transmission from frozen food and the least chances of accidental laboratory release. The study said that the virus from laboratories in the Chinese city of Wuhan was unlikely. They also said that the labs had high safety levels, and there were no reports of respiratory illnesses among staff members.

The report also showed that there is no record of viruses closely related to SARS-CoV-2 in any laboratory. Genomic testing of the virus indicates it was not engineered in a lab but passed naturally from animals like the SARS virus that infected 8,000 people globally in 2002-2004 before it was stopped.

The report also indicates that Frozen food is also not a source. There is no conclusive evidence for foodborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and the probability of cold-chain contamination with the virus from a reservoir is very low. A sampling at the market turned up the virus on surfaces but not in samples taken from animals or food sold at the market. There is evidence that the Coronavirus was circulating before the Huanan market outbreak.US White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that the report is being reviewed by federal government agencies like the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institutes of Health and others.
